Re: ’BREAKING’ NEWS (2)

How traumatic, LJ!  You have been through a lot!  Hoping you are on the mend and that the wafflette is playing a big role. It's great that you have so much support. The Madison sisterhood supports you from afar.

Synopsis of BN (1)

It was a sunny, windless day at Point Lobos, one of the most beautiful spots on earth (immediately south of Carmel).

The shades of intense blue, turquoise, pale green waters a sight to behold!  A perfect day ...for pictures...to be hiking...together with a great pal!

The editor of "Breaking News" refined   'breaking' with a fall that took us for a ride in a ranger's car (no ambulance 🚑 could access the scene) to Carmel hospital.  Yup, broken fibula plateau. 😭

Now go to bottom of pix...😁

NOW, the best news, I am using crutches (no weight on foot situation) and  I find it difficult not to over-do.

I have laid out all of the utensils and materials needed to play with my new wafflette device to make cinnamon waffles tomorrow morning.

This is all such a leap from The Cove, beginning in mid-August ... 😩

And would not have been possible without a squadrons/flock helping me "every step of the way."

Gratitude is seems anemic for how my soul and heart feel.

With love,

Laura/LJ

My pristine bed stand for 15 minutes.

Five weeks and two days later, it was time to "move" back to my bedroom.
Pic shows all that needed to be moved with the help of wagons courtesy of Mayflower Moving 🐵!

Chauncey Cove was established to surround me with all I needed - meds, water, coffee, peanut butter and a lot of etcetera!

Absolutely magnificent bouquet to Oma from Kimi.  The magic of flowers and the scents they offer is superb soul food.

Hey, LJ, so sorry to hear about you injury.  BTW, when i looked up "fibula plateau" all I could find was "tibial plateau."  Same thing?
Very glad to hear that you have lots of support (in both senses), and I wish you a complete and smooth recovery, my dear.
Keep the news coming!
Love,
Shirley

Re: ’BREAKING’ NEWS (2)

That sounds wicked. (Had to look it up before responding)
So very sorry this happened.
Your are brave to go through all this but you don't really have a choice. Your choice is to meet this head on and keep going. Just like you. So many would give up. I know you will do all your therapy and recover. I imagine the hardest is yet to come when you start to put weight on it.
Sending love and prayers
Carolyn

Re: Ride Home from Greece

These are great!
I think I'm all caught up as well.  Still a little tired in the afternoon but a nap always helps.
Great news about your blood test!!  I'm sure you must be very relieved and I'm very happy 😆 😆😆

Magnitude!

Yesterday very special...Lamp Chop 😶 (speechless)

Walked through the national botanical garden watching pigeons do their foreplay dances; turtle pond full of all sizes, the babies grabbing rides on the top of the adults 😃; a goose whisperer who pet the beautiful creature up and down his neck and walked with him where they then sat by a tiny lake speaking to one another🥺; had a bite to eat in a -1 ⭐️ cafe, but we woke up this morning...

Ready to board the yacht! 🎶🎶🎶😎

Traveler Treats

Anticipatory Anxiety

Lamb Chop jumped into the wrong bag in eagerness not to be left behind.

Now overwhelmed with where he landed...bells from the cathedral at night, birds serving as an alarm clock waking him up at the edge of daylight and the Acropolis and Parthenon outside the window over the roof tops...

It is an beautiful treat coming up on Thursday...pix to follow

Dear Crew Mates,

It has been a while since I have revved up the blog machine.  I am in the mood again...🐵. I leave tomorrow for a cruise in Greece.

Last episode featured "what is this", a series of quirky pictures...

I do not have a theme yet, but I am 🤔 ing about "Where's
Lamp Chop."  He shakes with glee at the prospect of traveling again.  (Japan last year)

Let me know if you don't receive this OR want to be removed from the list. 😂

LJ,
Hope you have a wonderful trip.  Looking forward to following
Lamp Chop.

I have a trip to Greece scheduled in October; mainly land
sights, but I can't wait to see some of the sights I've seen only in
pictures.

  Enjoy your trip.

Evening Plans for Tonight

Warriors game!

On Post Drive I get limited TV channels, so I go to a local hang-out where there is a HUGE TV.

Since I am the only one watching they put on the game...and you bring your own food and dog, if you have one...

The Terrific Trio are accommodating me, and we are having a "picnic" at the Cowgirl Ugly! 🤣
